This Kato EMD SD70MAC diesel is based on the 4,300-horsepower road diesellocomotives used mostly in freight service from coast to coast. Featuresinclude a five-pole motor with dual flywheels, all-wheel electrical pickup,heavy die cast metal chassis, a lighting control board that can be swappedfor a DCC decoder when you’re ready (available separately), finedecoration, directional LED headlights and Kato magnetic knuckle couplers.
